The IAPR Best Biometrics Student Paper Award (BBSPA) was established to recognize and promote excellence in biometrics research among students, ensuring the future vitality and sustainability of the field. This initiative also reinforces IAPR’s leadership in biometrics research.
2026 IAPR BBSPA has been awarded to Houpu Xu for the paper titled “Dense-to-Sparse Topological Distillation for Minutiae-Label-Free Contactless Fingerprint Matching”. The paper, co-authored by HoupuXu, YuweiJia, Zhe Cui, Yuan Dong, was presented at IJCB 2026.
