The LATAM (Latin America) Summer School is a hybrid event that aims to provide up-to-date skills to participating students, professionals, academics, and researchers from the Latin American region in technical, regulatory, and ethical aspects of advanced biometric systems, providing a unique opportunity to connect with senior scientists and promote researchers’ collaboration networks.
Doctoral Symposium
A Doctoral Symposium (DS) is organized as part of the School. The DS provides a unique opportunity for PhD students to present their ongoing work and interact with other students and experienced researchers. The DS is open to PhD students at any stage of their doctoral studies, as well as to presentations by advanced Master’s students.
Scholarship
The IAPR, IEEE, and BRECS.NET provide a number of scholarship grants to research student participants of the school. To apply for the IAPR/IEEE scholarship, students must email their CVs and Motivation Letter to secretariat@brecs.net.
