The 2025 IAPR Young Biometrics Investigator Award (YBIA) has been awarded to Prof. Naser Damer from the TU Darmstadt and Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD, Germany. This highly competitive award recognizes an individual who, within ten years of receiving their doctoral degree, has made substantial contributions to the IAPR Biometrics community and whose research has had a major impact in biometrics. Prof. Damer was selected by the Committee for “outstanding contributions to secure, efficient, privacy-aware, and transparent biometric techonologies”.
