The IAPR Best Biometrics Student Paper Award (BBSPA) was established to recognize and promote excellence in biometrics research among students, ensuring the future vitality and sustainability of the field. This initiative also reinforces IAPR’s leadership in biometrics research.
2024 IAPR BBSPA has been awarded to Yuxiang Guo, a PhD student at Johns Hopkins University, for the paper titled “Distillation-guided Representation Learning for Unconstrained Gait Recognition.” The paper, co-authored by Yuxiang Guo, Siyuan Huang, Ram Prabhakar Kathirvel, Chun Pong Lau, Rama Chellappa, and Cheng Peng, was presented at IJCB 2024.
